Free Phone Calls?

Interesting promo for people who are tired of a crazy phone bill...

http://www.skype.com/products/skypeout/

If you're too lazy to click the link, Skype is offering free PC to Phone calls in the US and Canada.  While the quality isn't the best, it's free, and if you're getting killed on your phone bill, it's worth a shot, right?

Then again, if you can afford to have an Internet connection, you can probably afford the phone bill too.  BUT, for those of you who use the free HotSpots around town, this is a nice addition, is it not?

Anyone up for a little walking?

Hey everyone!

I'll be walking in the Bay Area Angel Adventure.  It is a charity event to help raise funds for the National Brain Tumor Foundation.  Please drop by the website (click the link below the picture) and sponsor me, or if you want to walk with me, you're more than welcome to sign up too!

Slickdeals is such an evil site.  I've been checking for things that I don't really need, but would be nice to have.  But I guess it's more my weakness for searching for a good deal.  Well, at least an easy way to look for a good deal.  I've decided that i'll reward myself when i finish some other tasks that need to be done.

It'd be nice if there was such a handy site for real estate too....  but yeah, it wouldn't really work out because you could never get a decent place unless you were up at all hours of the day looking for the best place!  But then again, I guess people do that anyway.  They just look a little harder.

Good thing it's not the time yet.  cleaning up my credit.  Actually, it's not too bad.  But looking at it is impressive.  There were many things that come up on the credit reports that i had totally forgotten about, both good and bad, and didn't imagine could be measured for my current credit rating!  it's amazing what people can dig up on you....

Warriors basketball has hit a lul again.  Looks like the excitement of Baron arriving, combined with all the injuries, has caused the Warriors to return to their mediocre status.  Hopefully they can make a run at a playoff spot and create some excitement again.  The Kings brought Artest to town and he actually seems like he'll be a good fit.  But they too have injury problems, so who knows if we'll find out how good this group of Kings could be.

As for the SuperBowl this weekend, hopefully it's a good game.  It'd be nice to see the Steelers win for Jerome Bettis's sake.  It's fun watching people try to stop him, since it's nearly impossible.  Hopefully the Bus stops with a Superbowl ring.  Would be a fitting ending to a great career...  Seattle does have a nice team though.  Hopefully they make a game of it.  Hopefully Pittsburgh doesn't come in overconfident and blow it either...

As for the important things, I've decided to try and give up Cola.  I will use Ginger Ale as a substitute for now, so i can still have my fizz....  we'll see if that works and how long that lasts, eh?

I feel a caffeine urge already.......

NBA season has finally started.

Go Warriors~!  1-0.

They looked great out there.

The good news --- played well as a team even without Baron Davis on the floor running the show.

The bad news --- Baron already got injured, and we didn't finish the first game.  It's a pulled hammy.....  and we know those are oh so fun~!  But at least it's something he can work through and recover from.

The bad news part 2 ---  Baron better find a more suitable pillow..... (see picture above)

Any good spots to hit up this weekend?
